IHSI offers webinar for early career faculty

The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Initiative (IHSI) has organized a webinar for early career faculty regarding engaging with federal funding agencies. This is an excellent opportunity for faculty to learn how to build and maximize their relationships with the funding agencies and program managers. The webinar will be hosted and facilitated by Lewis-Burke Associates on August 31 at 3 p.m. (CST).

Topics covered will include:

• Introduction to engaging with agencies of interest (NIH and others)
• How to find the correct program manager (PM), contact the PM, and request an appointment
• How to prepare and what to say at a meeting with a PM
• Writing a white paper for a PM
• How to follow-up and stay in touch with a PM
