A powerful tool for Illinois investigators
Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) is a browser-based tool for collecting both high risk and non-high risk data. Illinois REDCap is provided at no cost to faculty, staff, and students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Robust Data Collection
REDCap was created at Vanderbilt University in 2004 and is now a preferred data collection tool for institutions across the world. Learn about this easy-to-use, flexible interface and determine whether Illinois REDCap can support your next project.
HIPAA Capability & Security
Illinois REDCap is among the systems and services that meet requirements established by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). REDCap offers a variety of security measures that make it an ideal system for collecting Protected Health Information (PHI) and other high risk or sensitive data, as well as non-high risk data.
