IHSI’s Community-Academic Partnerships for Health promotes community collaboration as the foundation for improving public health.
Community-Academic Partnerships for Health fosters research translation by:
- Identifying and assessing opportunities for community-academic collaboration
- Making connections and facilitating communication between community stakeholders and academic collaborators
- Building capacity to address community needs through research
Our activities focus around the priority areas for Champaign County, as identified in the Community Health Improvement Plan (2018-2020):
- Behavioral Health
- Reducing Obesity and Promoting Healthy Lifestyles
- Violence
Through a close partnership with the College of Education, we also focus activities at the intersection of education and health.
