Community-Engaged Funding & Scholarship

Supporting faculty and researchers pursuing community-engaged work

In 2022, the university’s promotion and tenure guidelines broadened to recognize and support community and public engagement contributions in research, teaching, and service. IHSI offers a variety of resources and programming for researchers across campus interested in, or already pursuing, community-engaged scholarship.

Past CERS events

Hosted by the Center for Social and Behavioral Science, College of Education, and Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute, the Community-Engaged Research Series (CERS) aims to build and enhance the experience of community-engaged researchers at Illinois, and provide these researchers with the skills and resources needed to impact research in this space.
